Step forward in solidarity for International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 on the 8th of March 2025 to help #AccelerateAction

At the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158, which is roughly five generations from now, to reach full gender parity, according to data from the World Economic Forum.

Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasises the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.

Are you in? Will you help Accelerate Action?

Strike the #AccelerateAction pose to show solidarity. Encourage others to help accelerate action within their own sphere of influence by sharing your #AccelerateAction image here and across social media throughout the year using #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction.

Submit an IWD Statement explaining how your organisation actively supports gender equality. Submit your #AccelerateAction statement here.

Use the International Women's Day social media cards available hereโ€‹ to promote awareness raising and to declare your own commitment to #AccelerateAction.
